EM Crit Champs

INTRODUCTION

The East Midlands Crit Champs was built from a vision. A vision for high-quality inclusive racing developed in collaboration with our hosting organisers. We've chosen the best closed circuits in our region which reward skill, grit and race craft.

It promises to be a thrilling series with fields comprising of the best cyclists from around the region, the stakes are incredibly high, as they battle it out to to be crowned the East Midlands Crit Champs.

Riders will be competing for:

Individual race victories and BC points
Podium prizes
The prestigious Ascesa leaders jersey
Overall championship titles
Championship prizes for 1st, 2nd 3rd (separate standings for Open & Female)
Series most combative prizes (Open & Female)

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT

Separate championship standings and prizes for Open & Female
Results recorded for top 20 finishers only
All 4 rounds count towards the final standings

Points System

Series points will be given to each rider in the top 20:

Terms and conditions

Competitors can enter more than one race per round. But only one Race qualifies for points and the best finish will be used towards the overall championship.
If a Competitor does not finish (DNF), they will not be rewarded any points.
If a Competitor does not start (DNS), they will not be awarded any points
Competitors can enter any Race they have licence eligibility too.
For any round where the organiser records the results manually using video footage, any dispute must be raised within 48 hours of the date that the provisional results are published.
Competitors can join the championship at any point in the Season.

LEADERS JERSEY

The overall leaders in the open and female standings will wear a leader's jersey for their race(s) at that round which will be available for collection at sign on. The design is inspired by the colours of the hosting clubs and the final winners will get to keep the prestigious jersey and will be crowned the East Midlands Crit Champs.
